Top News & Magazines Apps on Android in Italy: Q3 2024

In the third quarter of 2024, the News and Magazines category on the Android platform in Italy showed diverse performance trends among the top five apps, according to data from Sensor Tower.

Breaking News: Local & Alerts experienced fluctuating weekly downloads, starting at around 9.6K in early July and peaking at 17.9K in mid-September. Active users followed a similar pattern, beginning with approximately 110K and reaching a high of 144K. However, the app did not generate any revenue throughout the quarter.

L'Economia Corriere della Sera showed a gradual increase in weekly revenue, peaking at about $315 in mid-July. Downloads were highest at the beginning of the quarter, reaching 6.8K, and then saw a decline towards the end. No data was available for active users.

Beloud: News & Free Speech had modest revenue, peaking at $39 in the first week of August. Weekly downloads showed an upward trend initially, peaking at 4.8K in mid-August, before tapering off towards the end of the quarter. Active users increased from 46.8K to around 57.1K before settling at approximately 46.7K by the end of September.

Corriere della Sera witnessed a consistent rise in weekly revenue, reaching a peak of $18.3K in late September. Weekly downloads fluctuated, with a high of 4.1K in early September. Active users showed a similar pattern, rising from about 61.3K to 74.6K before decreasing towards the quarter's end.

Finally, Local News - Latest & Smart had no revenue but saw its downloads peaking at 1.7K in mid-August. Active users started at 48.2K, peaking at 52.7K in late July, and then settled around 40K by the end of the quarter.
